Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University is an accredited Higher Educational Institution created in 2001 as the Institute of Philosophy, Theology, History, and Culture by Bishop Giuseppe Pasotto, the Apostolic Administrator of Latin Catholics in Caucasus. There was just one Theology program. This program taught a variety of profiles of Christian theology. Partnerships with several European universities were gradually formed. Visiting speakers expanded students' knowledge, inventiveness, and talents.
In 2009, the University received further institutional accreditation. Since then, educational programs have been gradually added, and the University now has 13 undergraduate (Law, Business Administration, Business Administration in English, Tourism, Theology, International Relations, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, Etc) and graduate (Law, Business Administration, Public Administration, Theology) programs.
Throughout Georgia, university publications are acknowledged and integrated into instructional programs at all three levels.
The University has successfully partnered with European and American institutions since its foundation, offers exchange programs for students, professors, and staff, is a member of various international university associations, and has exclusive scholarship and institutional international assistance.
The University is accredited, as are all educational programs. A diploma that is recognized by the state is awarded.
The purpose of the University is to provide an academic environment that is conducive to students' personal interests and abilities, as well as to their intellectual and personal development. As a result, university trains highly competitive professionals with modern theoretical and practical knowledge, capable of contributing to the construction of democratic, ethical, and responsible communities through their lifestyle and successful work.
